I hate being hot. Hate is to mild of a word I LOATHE being hot. You can’t take off enough clothes and still be decent and cool. No matter how much you drink you can’t stay cool, and all you manage to do is have to pee. A LOT.

The three years we spent living in Vegas were fine except for the summer months and then I was miserable.

When we were looking at places to move to Denver topped our list because it’s winters aren’t to bad, yes they get snow but the sun comes out and melts it pretty fast, and the summers are mild in comparison to Vegas. I think they have maybe four days of about 100 degree temps in comparison to two months of above 100 degrees.

So the other day my girlfriend posted on FB that it was 104 in her backyard in Vegas. I laughed and posted it was 70 here in Colorado. Then I saw weather report for the week. Snow on May 1st for the Denver metro area.

This is no biggie for us because we know that yes we will get between 2-6 inches of snow today and be back up in the 70’s by the weekend. Vegas however has already hit the 100 degree mark and it’s only May. So while all our friends and family are back in Vegas roasting, we are enjoying the nice cool weather of spring.

Just to give you an idea of what it looks like here today…I took this picture with my laptop of the view from my classroom.
