This is not a post about zombies…

It’s getting warm here so we’ve begun walking in the evening, preparing for that epic hike Mr. Lire wants to do this year. Last night we went to one of the many small lakes we have around us, we were less than two minutes into it when we were swarmed with these little flying bugs.

Having spent the last twenty years in the desert I had no clue what these flying bugs were, other than they were driving me insane and all over me.

It wasn’t until Mr. Lire started slapping his legs and arms and swearing “Damn mosquitoes” that I got what they were.

And I was done…yep done. My walk was over.  And I remembered that one thing I hated about summer, the bugs.

So how about you, what’s the one thing about summer you hate?
